Hello,

As we approach the final weeks of school, let us reflect and refine our why. Area Education Advisory Councils are charged with advising the Board on issues that affect students, families, communities and schools. We can't provide input without you!

We hope you are able to join us Monday, June 13, 2022, at 7 pm to discuss potential topics of interest for 2022-2023 and to hear from those running for BCPS Board of Education vacancy seats. Below are who have been invited:

District 1-Robin Harvey, Cory Koons, and George W. Roycroft, 3rd

District 4-J. Michael Collins, Brenda Hatcher-Savoy, Samay Singh Kindra, and Autrese M. Thornton

We look forward to recapping this school year and gaining your ideas for next year. Please share the attached flyer widely with your networks, community, and social groups. All are welcome!

Grateful,

The SWAEAC

Did you know that Baltimore County has changed its District lines? This may update, may have changed your representative, how schools are funded, and more. On Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, at the Woodlawn Memorial Park, located at 1936 Woodlawn Drive, the community is invited to a Community Cookout sponsored by former Baltimore Oriole, Adam Jones. The goal is to inform people of the new boundaries of the 2nd Councilmanic District.

Come join the community for this FREE cookout. All you have to do is REGISTER HERE for this family-friendly cookout. This event will be held outside (weather permitting). Bring your friends, families, and neighbors! Kickball, basketball, and a playground will be available to enjoy. There will be FREE food and refreshments to those who register.
