On Monday, July 11, 2022, the Baltimore County Police Department will be hosting a community walk in the Randallstown area with Chief Melissa Hyatt. The walk will commence at 6:30 pm at Southall Road and Tiverton Road in Randallstown. The walk will proceed up Tiverton Rd toward Liberty Rd. then turn right, and continue along the sidewalks along Liberty Rd. to the Shopping Center at Liberty Rd. and Marriottsville Rd. Everyone is encouraged to attend and speak with Chief Hyatt and her command staff. The event brings a positive presence in the area, and allows community residents to join with police, meet officers, and other stakeholders to discuss their community.

Chief Melissa R. Hyatt was sworn in as Baltimore County's first female Police Chief on June 17, 2019, bringing with her over 20 years of law enforcement from the Baltimore City Police Department.

According to an official statement from the Baltimore County website:

Dear Community Members,

During the past couple of weeks the Pikesville Precinct experienced an increase of thefts from motor vehicles. Most of these thefts occurred in the McDonogh Township Community.

Remember to please lock your vehicles and remove all valuables from your vehicle. This includes vehicle keys, house keys, wallets and garage door openers. Keep your residences secured at all times. Lock your windows, doors, and use your residential alarm system if available.

The Pikesville Precinct Community Outreach Team offers free residential security surveys, where a uniformed officer will respond to your home and provide ideas to better secure your residence. Officers from the Pikesville Precinct are actively patrolling your neighborhood. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a security survey, please contact the Pikesville Community Outreach Team at 410-887-6775.

Please be vigilant of suspicious subjects or vehicles roaming through the neighborhoods. If you notice any suspicious activity, safely get a good description of the subjects and contact 911 immediately.

REMEMBER, YOU ARE THE EYES AND EARS OF THE COMMUNITY.
